The beautiful background scene with this Moon River Fountain is hand painted on the back of the strong, durable Lexan acrylic surface. A special finish and sealer is then applied to the painted surface to make it permanent on the back of the acrylic and waterproof. (The water on the front side never touches the painted surface on the back). The female figure is made from cast aluminum, and the "branches" in front of her are made from copper.
