Alternative Food Containers

What do you do with your leftovers? Most people put it a plastic container and stick it in the refrigerator to reheat later. Many of the plastic food storage containers that are in the market are made from material containing BPA, or bisphenol-A. BPA or bisphenol-A is used to make the plastic strong as well as clear but the problem is that it can interfere with the hormones in your body as it becomes free of the plastic and you ingest it. It is also considered an endocrine disruptor in that it can act like estrogen. Estrogen imbalance can cause breast cancer. BPA is known to collect in the tissue of the breasts, which can cause a child to have breast cancer when she grows older. BPA can also be present in pacifiers as well as Baby Bottles. Polyvinyl chloride, or PVC is another ingredient found in plastic storage containers which can contain phthalates. This material can also mimic estrogen and is associated with the risk of infertility.

Life Without Plastic

When Life Without Plastic was created, very few alternatives existed in the North American market, especially for food and drink containers. This is how Sanctus Mundo, our unique product brand, came into existence.

ReusableBags

ReusableBags has been fighting the massive over consumption of plastic shopping bags since 2002 and has made a significant impact - inspiring hundreds of news stories and empowering individuals with pratical products.
